Map showing Updale Reading Room, the location of our monthly meetings
From Rosedale Abbey, head out on the Castleton road, past Bell End Holiday Bond development and at a fork in the road, take the road signed ROSEDALE EAST (shown as Updale on the map above). Follow this road and cross a beck at the bottom of the hill. As you ascend, you will see School Row (terrace of cottages) on your right and The Reading Room on the opposite side of the road, standing on its own. Park up beside School Row (off road) during meetings. For larger events, field parking is arranged (follow signs).
From the North (Castleton) descend from moor road down The Knott and turn sharp right at ROSEDALE EAST sign, then follow directions above from this point.
